Description
Heritage Red Raspberry Patch Starter Collection
This collection contains 4 individually potted, quart size, Heritage Red Raspberry plants. Heritage is an heirloom, still in production due to it’s wide growing range and reliable production. Most farmers markets in the Midwest will see Heritage red raspberries as the dominant fall red raspberry cultivar. We’ve grown this for years and have never been disappointed with it. These plants may even have some fruiting this fall, as some of them are starting to flower and yield berries already even though they are young plants. The bigger harvest will be seen next summer/fall (and over the years!!), when the plants have spent a season growing in your garden. Spacing should be 3-4′ in the row for Heritage, and it can benefit from some staking of the bigger canes next year, but no need to put in a trellis or stakes this fall, unless you’d like to.
All plants in this collection are 1 year old field divisions. They are quart size, potted plants (not bare root). They range in height from 12″ to 20″ . Planting guide is on this website.
