Strawberry Plants

Organic  Strawberry  Plants

Organic strawberries are one of the sweetest, most satisfying harvests for the home grower.  Non-organic strawberries from stores or farm markets can likely be covered in not-so-healthy chemicals.  And shipped strawberries (organic or otherwise) just don’t have the flavor of what you can get from berries picked fresh that day.  Growing organic strawberries is not any more challenging than growing anything else organically, as long as you have some useful guidance.  See our Strawberry Planting and Care page (in menu above) for very useful information I’ve used to successfully grow organic strawberries.  It is much easier to grow strawberries organically on a small garden plot or field compared to vast acres (at least here in the Midwest I believe that to be the case).  To that end, our Planting Guides should help our customers to get the most from their berry plants.

NOTE: Most of our  strawberry plants will not be ready to ship until early to mid May, depending on how our spring weather is. They are potted and can be planted anytime of the year. They do not need to be planted in the early spring like bare root strawberry plants.  Please check individual cultivars for any “ships in May” notices.  Discounts for multiple strawberry packs are calculated based on two, separate categories: Alpines are one category and all other strawberries  are the other category.
