Colibri Souhern Highbush Organic Blueberry Plant
Colibri is a self-pollinating blueberry for warm climates (I grow it successfully in zone 5 with some minimal overwinter protection so it is more winter hardy than anticipated). It has small, blue green leaves, very bushy habit, and grows 4.5 to 5 feet tall at maturity. Berries are medium sized, very sweet when full ripe, and productive (yields between 8-10#). Berries are in loose clusters and easy to pick. Very resistant to three common soil borne fungus: Phytophthora cinnamomi, Botryosphaeria corticis, and Botryosphaeria dothidea. If you live in USDA zones 8-10 and are looking for just one blueberry bush, this is it. Colibri has displayed excellent growth here in IN where are summers are hot and humid. In USDA zone 6 I have distributed Colibri to growers and they have had good yields of berries with no additional winter protection. I would suggest it for zones 6 and 7 as it is just such a vigorous grower and producer of excellent, sweet berries.
