Crispin Lowbush Organic Blueberry Plant
This lowbush hails from the coast of Whitefish Bay, in the northeastern most region of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Further west is Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This is a challenging location for plants, enduring the cold and ice from Lake Superior, and a short growing season. Crispin has very small leaves of bright green, and gets burgundy red foliage in the fall. Berries are small, light blue, abundant, and very sweet. Crispin grows to about 16″ tall in cultivation, a little larger than it achieves in it’s native habitat. Another nice selection of V. pensylanicum from Michigan’s wild places.
