Eden Red Raspberry

Eden is a new floricane fruiting release form the AAC in Kentville, Nova Scotia. The canes and plant are completely free of any spines or thorns, so it is a very nice plant to work with when pruning (or packing for shipment!!), and picking. Berries ripen about the same time as Nova, though in 2017 Nova ripened ahead of Eden. Berries are light red, with a sweet flavor, and more conical in shape than round. They have a large size (larger than Nova) and are firm. Eden berries are also easy to pick from the cane, with no separation of the fruit while one is picking.
