Description
Amelanchier alnifolia organic quart or 2-gal potted plant
Also know as the saskatoon, Pacific serviceberry, western serviceberry, alder-leaf shadbush, dwarf shadbush, chuckley pear, or western juneberry. Whatever the name, this is the Amelanchier species with the biggest and sweetest berries, no bitterness, and copious production. It is also one of the shortest of serviceberry species, reaching between 6-12′ tall as a multi-stemmed shrub, which is easy to shape and keep to a size that fits your garden or landscape. This is a nice edge tree, and even with birds around there seems to be plenty of berries for all.
Recommended in USDA growing zones 3-9.
